Full No. 3 Uniform Tips

Beret

  • Brim must be 2.5cm above eyebrows
  • Seam must be parallel to the ground
  • Crest must be directly above left eye
  • Beret must be seasoned with a distinct fold to the right of the crest
  • Fluffs on the beret must be removed
  • Beret must not be discoloured
  • Beret tails should be tied, shortened and hidden from sight when worn

Shirt
  • Tucked in at all times
  • At least 2/3 of the belt must be seen
  • Collar ironed till it stands
  • Unit Formation Sign sewn with edge by the sleeve line, 4 fingers from the shoulder lapel
  • Name tag centralised on top of right breast pocket, 1 cm above pocket (worn at all times)
  • Centre 3 big buttons should be upright, aligned with belt
  • Buttons on the shoulders should face outwards                              
Badges
  • List of Proficiency Badges
  • Badges must touch each other but not overlap
  • Badges on the left sleeve should be arranged in a triangle formation as shown in the diagram below, and should be facing outwards at all times. If you have 2 badges, align the badges by the sleeve line with one above the other.
  • Badges above the left breast pocket should be arranged neatly, with all the badges centralised to the button on the pocket and the bottom row touching the pocket. Follow the order of the importance of badges. 
  • Nametag above the right breast pocket should be a distance of 1cm away from the pocket, the badges above should be 1cm away from the nametag and the Total Defence badge should also be 1cm away from the badges.
  • Badges on the right sleeve should be arranged in a square formation as shown in the diagram below, and should be facing outwards at all times. If you have 3 badges, they will be arranged in the triangle formation instead. If you have 2 badges, align the badges by the sleeve line with one above the other.

Belt
  • Belt must go through all belt loops in anti-clockwise direction
  • Belt keeper 2 fingers from end of the belt
  • Polish any scratches
  • Belt buckle should be in the centre of the body, aligned to the zip of the trousers
  • Belt should go through the buckle twice

Trousers
  • Length of trouser legs should be altered such that they do not gather at the boots; at least two rows of eyelets visible
  • Iron lines should correspond to the diagram below.
Boots
  • All parts should be cleaned, free of fingerprints
  • Toe cap should be polished such that your reflection can be seen
  • Only wear boots issued by HQ
  • Shorten excess bootlace using chain knot, then tuck it inside the sock
  • Boots should be tight
  • Only plain black socks are to be worn
  • Socks must be visible when boots are worn
